Home WiFi change

You will have to identify the new router with by SSID and password to all the wifi connected devices in your home.

It's easiest (and more secure) in the long run to log into the new router and create your own SSID and password.  But I've noticed a lot of people just use the SSID and password that is printed on the back of the router.

Most annoying part might be discovering how many wifi-connected devices you have in your home and trying to remember how to reset the wifi on each of them.

Does that help?  Chances are the new router will come with some setup instructions, or you will have a support number to call for step by step instructions.

I got ATT cellular router and modem to get a deal on ATT iphone connection. Worked well, but had to assign the internet account associated with cellular phone account. I gave this device to my daughter in Milwaukee.

I noticed the ATT Internet modem/router had preset values for the DNS Servers. I didn't check any further so I don't know if the DNS server ip address can be changed.

I have Spectrum Fiber at my house. Years ago, the DNS Servers Spectrum uses failed. I was able to change the IP addresses for the DNS servers on my router from Spectrum's to more reliable servers. Something your should consider. The alternative DNS servers I use  are at OpenDNS: 208.67.220.220 and 208.67.222.222

I have US Cellular for my home WiFi. They were bought out by T Mobile so I now have to change to their WiFi router and set it up for home usage. What challenges am I facing?
