The purpose of the Big 10 Retirees Association is to enhance the retiree associations at member schools through the sharing and exchange of information relevant to retirees.
The principal vehicle for this is a yearly conference rotated among the member institutions. In addition to concerns relevant to retirees, the annual conference provides an opportunity for the host institution to showcase its programs and facilities.
Membership is open to retiree associations of all Big Ten universities currently numbering fourteen. Each member association is entitled to two representatives on the governing board that convenes once a year at the annual conference.
