Provided by Business WebsiteJoin us as we sample our way through Green County.

The first stop is the Alp & Deli Cheese Store. The Store is located in the Heart of Wisconsin’s Dairy and Cheese Industry. Green County has about 400 Dairy farms producing 530 million pounds of milk annually. In the remaining 13 Cheese factories in Green County, many master cheesemakers are busy turning this farm fresh product into Green County Gold.

Then we are off to tour Minhas Craft Brewery and sample their brew!  Minhas is the Midwest's oldest brewery and the second oldest in the entire nation. It has survived the Depression, Prohibition, brushes with the mob and two major fires. They are now one of the top ten largest breweries in America.

Following the tour and samples, you have a chance to shop in a wide variety of stores, from 213 Mercantile to Zodica Perfumery and catch a bite to eat at any of a number of restaurants to your tastebuds’ delight. Check out Main Street Monroe 130478 Main Street Monroe for options.  Lunch is ‘on your own’.

After your lunch and shopping excursion, it’s back on the bus.  We head to Bailey’s Run Vineyard & Winery nestled in the scenic rolling hills of New Glarus for dessert and wine pairing.  Bailey’s Run, motto is “Where Wine Goes to Have Fun!”. A great way to end the day before heading back home.

Of special note: While accessible, the Minhas Brewery tour does involve a number of stairs up and down.
