Join the UW-Madison Geology Museum on a virtual hike at Devil’s Lake State Park! Enjoy the beautiful bluffs and forest while learning about the interesting geological and historical story Devil’s Lake has to tell lead by Brooke Norsted, Geology Museum Assistant Director.

Education has always been Brooke's second calling.  Brooke earned a BA at Gustavus Adolphus College and a MS at UW-Madison working with Alan Carroll on the Green River Formation. Brooke's my primary responsibilities at the museum includes coordinating outreach programs and managing the collections. In addition, being a part of a university community has exposed Brooke to opportunities to work on other fulfilling projects. These include Darwin Day (a day-long evolution symposium) and Expanding Your Horizons (an event that seeks to encourage junior high aged girls to remain interested in science, technology, engineering and math careers).

If you have preliminary questions for the speaker, please send to Program Coordinators Al Liegel at arliegel@wisc.edu by Tuesday, April 20.
