Inequality and Health Through the Lifespan

This event will be held on Thursday, October 25, at UW- Madison’s Gordon Dining and Event Center, 770 West Dayton Street.

The event will showcase the latest research and resources on positive aging, with speakers, a poster session, and a health and resource fair. This year’s presentation topics will include early-life adversities and adult health, socioeconomic and racial health disparities that lead to poor health, and how psychological well-being can increase resiliency.

The keynote address, “Health Equity and the Life Course,” will be given by Sir Michael Marmot from the University College London, who is one of the world’s premier leaders of research on health inequalities around the globe.

This is free and open to the public, but preregistration is required and space is limited. Registration will not be open until Monday, August 6, but be sure to register then as the session fills up within a week.
