Undergraduate Symposium

by Laurie Mayberry, Assistant Vice Provost

We invite you to join us for the 20th annual Undergraduate Symposium featuring an array of undergraduate creativity, achievements, research, service learning, and community- based research from all areas of study by more than 600 students at UW-Madison. Members of the university, the surrounding community, family, and friends are invited to attend this free event on Friday, April 13, from 9:30 to 3:15 in Union South.

Welcoming remarks by Steve Cramer, Vice Provost for Teaching and Learning, will begin at 12:45 in Varsity Hall followed by the “Friends and Family Reception” and the presentation of the fifth annual Awards for Mentoring Undergraduates in Research, Scholarly, and Creative Activities.

In addition to an impressive array of undergraduate presentations and posters, the day will also include lightning-style talks (three-to-five minutes), artist talks, performances, and film shorts. Sessions during the day will run from 9:30-10:45, 11:00-12:15, and 2:00-3:15.
