What shall I do when I grow up -- that is retire . . .

Retirement is a significant life transition.  For most of us retirement brings losses that we may not anticipate -- loss of community, of skills that atrophy, of identity.  But retirement can bring unanticipated opportunity and growth as well,  like expansion of hobbies, taking up interests long laid down, complete new enterprises requiring new skills, or a new rhythm and lifestyle.  If we are lucky enough to keep good health for several years, there are Stages in Retirement - the Go-Go years, the Slow-Go years and the No-Go years.
