You know what you know but you do not know what you do not know. This session will discuss records created at the time of life events along with skills to evaluate evidence, resources for finding record locations, cautions and surprises along the way.
This is the second session of a three-part series to get you started on your path to explore your past. Diane Hart Deci, with a lifelong interest in genealogy, began her research 45 years ago. Her areas of expertise are the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic regions. She has taken multiple genealogical courses through the Wisconsin Historical Society, Georgia Genealogical Society, and the Daughters of the American Revolution. She is a member of several lineage societies. As WS DAR state registrar, she has presented numerous genealogical classes. Diane feels very strongly that our ancestors’ history and the history of the communities we live in affect who we are. Diane is retired from Edgewood College where she was the Blackboard System Administrator.
