10:30 A.M. Morning Program

11:45 A.M. Luncheon and Speaker

Come and experience the amazing musical program once again coordinated by our own luncheon committee member, Marc Fink, Professor of Music. The morning program will consist of music for violin and piano performed by DMA candidates, Kaleigh Acord and Eric Tran. The program will include Sergei Prokofiev's 5 Melodies, JS Bach's Partita No. 1 in b minor for solo violin, and Claude Debussy's Sonata for Violin and Piano.

We begin our 2019-2020 luncheon series with Lisa Carter, Vice Provost for Libraries and University Librarian at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, who will address “UW-Madison libraries: empowering discovery, scholarship, and lifelong learning.” In her role, Lisa oversees campus libraries and provides leadership for strategic planning; fundraising; coordination of library collections, services and personnel; and advancing campus partnerships. She also directs efforts to enhance access to collections and cultivates campus, regional, national, and international partnerships.

The UW-Madison libraries lead the selection, organization, preservation and sharing of scholarly resources that power the UW world-class research and teaching. The libraries provide physical and virtual environments that inspire engagement, innovation, and learning. The information services provide library staff as essential partners in the academic enterprise. Carter will share how the libraries are collaborating and transforming to meet the needs of the University of Wisconsin-Madison in ways that enhance the quality of life in the state.
